Cars in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Officers reported they were notified by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with reddish substance

Around fifty vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then discovered many other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials state preliminary tests suggest the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; officials are presently not cognizant of any harm in association with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the public for details.

A senior official stated the vandalism left him speechless and required to be resolved promptly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a gunman targeting residents of migrant background in 2020.
